Family Travel in Paris

We finally made it to Paris during our summer in Europe. Both Karen and I have always wanted to experience the city, see the sights, and find out what makes this city magical. After eight days in Paris, we’ve come away with a good feel for what this city is all about.

After consistently ninety degree weather every day in Barcelona, Spain, we were surprised how different the climate was in Paris, France. It was the end of July, but we were bundled up in sweaters and jackets nearly every day we were there. Not only was it colder than we expected, but it was also very windy and rained a few days while we were there.

Another shock to the system was our move into a small studio with a double bed and sofa bed, which took up the entire space of the apartment. After living in a spacious two-bedroom apartment in Barcelona, we felt really cramped for space. Luckily, we lived in Montmartre, which was a cool neighborhood to walk around and get some space and fresh air for ourselves.

We had a great visit to Paris. Here’s some photos of how we spent our time in the city:
